Genetically Modified Food: Risks, Rewards, & Realities

The objectives of the conference are:

  • To educate the public to make informed decisions regarding the ever-expanding effects of genetic research and practice on our lives.
  • To promote communication among geneticists, farmers, ethicists, journalists, other scientists, and the public.
  • To encourage news media to address the issues surrounding genetic science and to effectively communicate the viewpoints of those working in the fields of agriculture, genetics, and ethics to a broader audience.
